The new post-surgery Hospital Bra

A new post-surgery bra has been developed that combines essential compression with comfort, support and the natural anti-bacterial properties of bamboo.

After any kind of breast surgery, a compression bra is essential for the healing process, helping to contour the body, reduce swelling and fluid build up, and the new Hospital Bra was designed by lingerie retailer Elle Terry-Dawson following her own breast surgery and subsequent search for the perfect post-surgical bra.

Suitable for wear immediately after all surgical procedures from breast enlargement or reduction to mastectomies, lumpectomies and reconstruction, the Hospital Bra is made from soft, stretchy anti-bacterial bamboo fibre that is kind to scars and features shock absorbing compression cups to improve blood flow and help reduce the pain and tenderness.

The bra has no wires and a soft, comfortable underband. It fastens at the front with a triple hook and eye adjustment and features drop down adjustable and cushioned shoulder access so that surgeons can easily check the wounds.

The Hospital Bra has already caught the attention of top breast surgeon Adrian Richards, owner of the Aurora Clinics, and Elle, who runs boutique Gorgeous of Tring, would like to see the bra available through retailers nationally.

You can find out more and purchase the bra through Hospitalbra.com. It costs £45 and comes in sizes XS-XL.
