We love a trip to Paris – sadly, it doesn’t happen often enough – so the news that Galeries Lafayette is launching a new lingerie department on May 6 has already had us scanning Eurostar for cheap deals.
The new department is 3,500 sqm of lingerie and swimwear fun, featuring 50 brands and made-to-measure services in a Haussmann-style apartment created by French designer Stella Cadente. Lycra is the official partner for the launch, which will see the windows of the department store dedicated to lingerie until the end of the month.
The product range is based around three themes to allow everyone to find something to suit them, arranged in three colourful spaces: trendy fashion, luxury designers and contemporary style, and legwear.
The trendy fashion space also includes a beauty area showcasing 60 sqm of make-up and beauty accessories including a massive 300 colours of nail polish – what more could a girl want?
The whole concept centres of the idea of pampering customers. You can book appointments in the beauty area for everything from hand care to make-up, a team of lingerie experts are on hand to provide advice, while refreshment comes in the form of Kusmi Tea and Love Organic.
And if that wasn’t enough, for the launch Lycra will be hosting a number of special events in collaboration with high profile brands, including a Fashion Notebook with tips and trend advice.
So, who’s booking a trip to Paris?
