British lingerie company Bluebella has signed an exclusive licensing agreement to launch the official E L James Fifty Shades of Grey lingerie and underwear collection.

The brand will launch the lingerie gift collection in time for Christmas this year (men, take note), and then create an extensive collection in summer 2014 to coincide with the launch of the erotic trilogy’s first film.

BlueBella was founded in 2005 by Oxford University graduate Emily Bendell, who’s mission was to break the mould of British attitudes to sex and sensuality and give women confidence with sexy lingerie. It is designed by women for women, she says.

In 2010, the business had a six-figure investment from sensual products retailer Lovehoney.co.uk, and also recently from James Averdieck, founder of luxury chocolate company Gü. It has since attracted retailers such as Asos and Figleaves.

The Fifty Shades of Grey collection will include a men’s cotton Christian Grey boxer, trio panty gift sets featuring some of the book’s most memorable catchphrases, embroidered frill ribbon tie briefs, babydoll sets and detailed lace button-up briefs; alongside stand-out ‘You. Are. Mine’ multi-use body bows and open bra and brief sets with detachable silk satin ties.

The Bluebella Fifty Shades of Grey collection will be priced from  £12 to £40. We’ll announce the key retailers once we have them… Watch this space!
