It’s National Stockings Day on 18 October, which means it’s time to dress your legs in a pair of stockings and raise some money for a good cause during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
National Stockings Day has been running for seven years, organised by Charnos Hosiery in aid of cancer charity Breast Cancer Care, and it’s all about encouraging women to put aside the convenience of a pair of tights for one day, and embrace the sexy, feminine feeling of a pair of stockings (or hold ups, if you really can’t do without your fashion mod cons).
Charnos stopped traffic with its dancing girl antics on last year’s National Stockings Day, and the brand has vowed to make this year’s events bigger and better – watch this space for details.
So put 18 October in your diary and start shopping for a lovely pair of stockings. And it’s on a Friday too, so why not go a bit wild?
