It’s October and you may have noticed that there’s rather a lot of pink around. That’s because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and retailers, brands, media and charities are pulling out all the stops to raise money for research and awareness of the UK’s most common cancer in women.
According to Breast Cancer Care, around 55,000 people a year, including around 400 men, are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. While survival rates are getting better, sadly nearly 12,000 people will die from the disease each year. There is an ongoing need for fundraising to support research, support and awareness activities, and the great thing about Breast Cancer Awareness Month is that the shops are full of ways you can show your support and treat yourself to something nice at the same time.
The beauty industry gets into the spirit of things in a big way, and this month there are some fantastic beauty buys that will see a portion of the money you spend go straight to a number of breast cancer charities. Here are some of our favourites, and we’ve also created a Pinterest board of BCAM goodies which we’ll continue to add to throughout the month.
