Get ready for Lingerie Fashion Week AW14!

Lingerie Fashion Week SS14It’s that time of year again – Lingerie Fashion Week AW14 is just around the corner, and the world’s only international fashion week for intimate apparel is going from strength to strength.

Now in its third season, the New York based LingerieFW has moved venues to the Canoe Studios in Manhattan’s gallery district and is offering an exciting line up of brands and designers that includes LingerieFW veterans as well as a host of newcomers.

Kicking off the event with an evening runway show on Thursday 20 February is Bradelis New York, a luxury lingerie brand that combines US and Japanese influences. This is followed on Friday by a runway from Naked Princess showcasing loungewear and occasion lingerie, and a presentation from FYI Dani Read of the brand’s ‘aggressive luxury lingerie’.

Also look out for ‘Love Corsetry’ an exhibition from sculptor Heather Corey presenting the corset in a textural and colourful display inspired by the feminine form and Parisian glamour.

This year’s event also features a special exhibition Ones to Watch exhibition from The Lingerie Journal featuring new and emerging designers including Arsenic & Vieilles Dentelles, BlackBird Underpinnings, Iris London, Lola Haze and Nevaeh Intimates.

Saturday sees more presentations, opening with new luxe boudoir label Layneau Collection followed by Kix’ies Thing Highs with ‘Cirque de Kix’ies’.

These are followed by a Made in the USA presentation showcasing the work of lingerie and loungewear brand NaïS from Brooklyn, LA based Clare Bare, and Sophi Reaptress from Philadelphia.

The show closes on Saturday 22 February with a runway and presentation from Affinitas and Parfait and the official closing party with a group exhibition runway in aid of Safe Horizon, a US victim assistance organisation. While all other events are invitation only, the closing party is open to the public and tickets can be purchased via

If you’re lucky enough to be going, we’re very, very jealous! The official schedule is now online and you can view images of the presentations and runways from last season’s event here.
