Ever wanted to be an artist’s model? Well, this could be your opportunity as a new national photography project is aiming to photograph 1,000 women to raise money for breast cancer charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Electrical Storm is a photo art project with lofty aims. The organisers are hoping to raise £1m for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the UK charity that funds research into the detection, treatment and prevention of breast cancer, through a series of striking, abstract bodyscapes of women.
As you can see from our featured image, this is no ordinary modelling session and neither are the images. Instead these bodyscapes are artistic and beautiful interpretations of the female form, with the ultimate aim to create a limited edition coffee table book of fine art prints of 50 of the finished portraits which will be sold to help meet the £1m fundraising target.
The photo sessions are currently taking place in London, but following an exhibition at the Truman Brewery in London in May this year, a mobile studio will hit the road, offering the women across the country the opportunity to take part in this groundbreaking project.
If you are interested in being involved, call 020 8305 8022 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book a session or find out more information. Each session lasts approximately 40 minutes and you will receive an A3 print of your image, which with your permission, may be considered for the final publication.
There is a suggested donation of £39 per session, 100% of which goes to Breakthrough Breast Cancer as everyone working on the photo sessions is volunteering their time for free.
You can find information about the project on the Breakthrough Breast Cancer website.
