Aguaclara‘s 2014 swimwear collection has just hit stores in the UK, and it’s as glamorous and daring as ever. If you’re looking for swimwear to make a statement as you pose by the pool, the South American brand’s new collection is sure to turn heads with its exotic styles and bold prints.
Inspired by the colours, climate and culture of the Amazon and the Andes, Aguaclara’s collection features tiny triangle bikinis and cut out swimsuits as well as bandeau and halter shapes and fuller coverage bikini briefs in tropical florals and animal print textures, all-over embellishment, hand embroidery and opulent accessories.
The collection is themed around the concept of an Amazonia cruise, with jungle and tribal influences mixed with a luxury aesthetic. We love hand-stitched mother of pearl ‘scales’ on the Golden Mermaid bikini and the super stylish black Shimmering Cocktail range.
There’s also an impressive collection of beachwear to go with the swimwear, all made from luxurious fabrics like silk. There are floaty dresses, short cover ups, sheer tops and deep v-neck tunics with heavy embellishment to accentuate the bust, plus an elegant jumpsuit.
Pieces are sized from S-XL and aren’t cheap – bikini sets cost from around £140 upwards – but every piece in the collection is made in Peru and hand finished with intricate embroidery and embellishments for a one-of-a-kind feel.
Stockists include Figleaves.com, Mio Destino, Rumpus Resort, Surfdome and Simply Beach.
