Festival season 2014 is now in full swing, but there’s only one festival in the UK that is dedicated to boobs and that’s FestiFeel, the festival organised by breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel!
The boutique musical festival, curated by Radio1 DJ and charity patron Fearne Cotton, is now in its fifth year and takes place on Sunday 21 June at London Fields Brewery in Hackney.
As well as offering music and fun, the festival heralds the beginning of another year of ‘boob love’, where CoppaFeel! take their awareness message and giant inflatable boob tent around some of the biggest festivals in the UK to educate women about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
This year’s line up includes Rizzle Kicks, Zane Lowe, Deep Swim, Nick Mulvey, Greg James vs Huw Stephens, Lianne La Havas, Norman Jay, Eliza and the bear, Abandoman, Sinead Harnett, Luke Sital Singh, Rhodes, Hudson Taylor, Kimberly Anne, Annie Eve, Goldierocks, Eva Stone, Becca Dudley and Fickle Friends.
But it’s not just music. The event will also feature a Festival parlour offering beauty and fun from WAH nail artists, vintage hair dos, Glittermasque face art, a photobooth, the popchips human vending machine, and a BBQ and beer!
Event curator Fearne Cotton says she loves asking bands to play at Festifeel because it’s a great day for a great cause. ‘Most of our acts are playing a busy summer of massive festivals, so it’s cool they’ve given up their time to play for CoppaFeel! before all that. It gives people an opportunity to see some big acts in an intimate setting – something you’re not going to get in any field this summer! And to top it off it launches CoppaFeel!’s life saving work around some of the coolest festivals this summer. I am excited to be involved again.’
The festival takes place on Saturday 21 June at London Fields Brewery, Hackney, London, from 1pm to 3am. Come along and show your support for the wonderful work that CoppaFeel! does. You can find more information, the full line up and tickets on Festifeel.com.
