The next season is just around the corner, and so in comes lightweight jumpers and warmer hues, which means that coral nail colours and neons aren’t necessarily going to go with the autumn leave hues of your wardrobe.
This autumn, wear colours that reflect the autumn leaves, like shiny reds, deep purple and mink, wear matt grey to complete a monochrome look, and if you’re really missing the sparkle, then there’s plenty of nail polish brands introducing deep colours with a little sparkly texture.
Here’s our picks of autumn nail colours…
Tom Ford – Minx
A chic colour that reflects the leaves on the ground and the autumnal hues of your autumn wardrobe, coupled with a nail polish formula that is ‘bendable’, meaning it’ll give you great coverage and colour will keep its shine throughout you wearing it.
Barry M – Jewel Glitter Nail Paint in Ruby
Estee Lauder – Caos
Here at Fashion Bust, we kind of swear by Estee Lauder nail polish. The polish goes on easily and is thick enough for one coat if you’re in a rush, but looks super fantastic after two coats. And, unless you’re doing the washing up every day, it doesn’t chip easily either.
This lovely matt colour is perfect for adding the the cool factor to an all-black outfit.
Essie – Stylenomics
Ok, so green’s not for everyone, but if you’re the daring kind then this Essie nail polish is the way to go. Make sure your outfit is also full of green hues.
Nails Inc – Beaufort Street Gel effect
This gel look polish claims to leave you with a super glossy finish like you’ve been to the nail salon – rather than done a quick nail job at your desk at 8am. (Ring any bells?) There’s also a plumping effect which means if there’s any imperfections in the nail (read: you haven’t had time to file your nails first), they’ll be hidden too!
If there’s one colour Nails Inc does exceptionally well, it;s a deep red, and this polish is no exception.
Rimmel London – Rita Ora Collection, Midnight Rendezvous
A 60-second formula perfect for before you head out with the girls or you’ve just landed a date that you’re not prepared for. Deep purple if a gorge colour for autumn, too, as it compliments your leafy-autumn shades. Actually, it compliments most outfits!
